SCHIAPARELLI, SLEEPING, MINI CANDLE, PERFUME BOTTLE, BAKELITE CAP, c.1938
This mini perfume bottle was made by Elsa Schiaparelli for the fragrance "Sleeping." The bottle is empty. There is gilding around the top edge of the neck just below the cap, and also on the beaded area at the base of the twisted neck. The cap, simulating the look of a flame, is made of bakelite. It is deep burgundy in color and is lined with a threaded metal cap. The gold foil label on the flared base is in the form of a ribbon with notched ends. Very often the label is missing on this mini. The fragrance and maker's names are printed in white. The bottom of the bottle is molded in raised letters "SCHIAPARELLI."
Size: 3 1/8" high x 1 3/8" wide (widest point at base).
Condition: Bottle - excellent, no chips or cracks; excellent gilding. Label - very good, small area of foil missing on notched ends. Cap - crack in one of the twisted indentations - difficult to see - not uncommon for this cap to have cracks; some surface chipping of color on bottom edge. Redken Labs, Inc. introduced "Piquet" in 1979. The decal label on the bottom of the bottle indicates the fluid content as 1/8 fl. oz. of Cologne. The delicate stopper is plastic in the shape of a butterfly. This bottle has never been opened and is completely full. However, this perfume is very old and may not be usable.

This hard-to-find whimsical mini perfume bottle, in the shape of a golf bag, is actually a pin. The bottle is empty. The large, threaded, metal cap has a safety pin attached to the side. The golf clubs have impressed detail on both sides. The cap has black and red enameled bands. No markings on the bottle or cap.

An invitation to travel and to find serenity, a search for happiness and one's inner self." The bottle design is clear, simple and smooth, with a clear, delicate peach, ball stopper. Black enamel fragrance and maker name on the front. About 2/3 of the fragrance remains in this 1/8 ounce sized bottle.

Square, clear glass bottle with a silver stopper. This is a vintage, 50-year-old classic masculine cologne, Royal Copenhagen. Most of the gray tinted fragrance remains. The company was part of the group of Scandinavian companies, Royal Scandinavia, and was a division of Swank. There is a newer version of Royal Copenhagen cologne but only the older bottles with a silver stopper were made/distributed by Swank. Other Swank colognes, Flora Danica, Jade, and later, Royal Copenhagen, were essential for the 1960-70s well-groomed swinger.

This vintage Faberge fragrance was launched 59 years ago,in 1964. This wonderfully, nostalgic, vintage mini is going to make some sweet little old lady say, "Awww! That was the cologne my Honey always wore when we were courting way back then in the 60s!" The fragrance is Brut. "Oh, what a hunk he was, and I loved the way he smelled when he wore Brut after-shave cologne." The masculine bottle is green glass with a silver cap - now showing its age. The label on the front is gray enameled lettering, "Faberge, Brut, for Men." A hint of the wonderful Brut fragrance still lightly lingers in the bottle and cap.

This is a fascinating classic mini by Nicole Miller for her signature masculine fragrance, Nicole Miller, launched in 1993. Basically simple in design, its appeal is in its very unusual color - frosted, orange glass, its wonderful satiny "feel" and the creative concept of the bottle and packaging. The ribbed bottle is molded to simulate corregated cardboard. The plastic simulated "crunched cardboard" cap, gathered at the neck, completes this unique bottle. Cello label on the bottom. The bottle is full of EDT and comes in its original "corregated cardboard" box. Bottle color and innovative design are elements that can elevate a collection from ordinary to wow! This is one of the "Wow" bottles that meets those criteria.

This cut glass bottle is one of a few Czechoslovakian perfume bottles that were made to hold a commercial fragrance, rather than being sold empty as a scent bottle. Lentheric created Tweed in France around 1933. It became popular in the United States in the 1940s to the early 1960s. Curiously, they sponsored a $60,000 advertising promotion contest in 1957, and the winning entry provided their unconventional slogan, "Blame it on Tweed," which was apparently very successful, and ran for several years in the 1960s. This bottle is likely from that era. Clear square bottle with black enameled letters on the front. Gold plastic cap with large wooden overcap. Bottom of the bottle is embossed, "Lentheric."

This charming vintage mini sample perfume bottle is by Luxor (Luxor Toilet Requisites, Armour and Company, Chicago, Illinois) The exotic-sounding name Luxor, suggests the mysteries of ancient Egypt, but was, in fact, a brand created by the Chicago-based Armour & Company. The Luxor trademark, was first used in 1910. The sample mini in this listing is a tall, slender clear glass bottle with a front label, and a cork stopper. The label has a bouquet of posies and "Luxor Bouquet/Luxor Ltd/USA."

Park & Tilford was a New York company with a clever slogan: "Park & Tilford offers exquisite perfumes that make you a queen for every occasion, without costing a king's ransom." (No truth in advertising back then!) The fragrance, Faoen 3 was trademarked in 1926. As a new collector, the first time I saw a Park & Tilford perfume bottle for sale, I was immediately transported back to the musty, dusty, wood-floor, hometown "Five and Dime" store of my early childhood in Medford, Massachusetts. It is there in the 1940s that I first saw P&T perfume bottles for sale. This humble little mini perfume bottle holds great nostalgia for me, and perhaps, for you, too! The clear glass pyramid-shaped bottle has a large black bakelite cap that conforms to the pyramid shape of the bottle. A gold foil label with 1930s graphics covers the front of the bottle.

Jeanne Paquin was a leading French fashion designer, known for her modern and innovative designs. She was the first major female couturier and one of the pioneers of the modern fashion business. The couture house, Paquin of Paris, France, introduced perfumes beginning in 1939, and eventually merged with Worth in 1954. This listing is for a wonderful black glass bottle for Paquin's perfume, "9 X 9" introduced in 1939. The gold foil shield-shaped label on the front bears the frangrance name. An old European-style price label is on the bottom. However, the star of this fragrance creation is the gold metal stopper with a motif resembling pleated fabric topped with a blue cabochon stone.

VINTAGE, REVILLON, CARNET DE BAL, MINI PERFUME BOTTLE, c.early 1960s
Charming replica mini of Revillon's, Carnet de Bal (Dancecard) perfume bottle. Original ads for this perfume show the bottle upright with the stopper at the top. However, some collectors prefer to display the bottle standing on its stopper, giving it the appearance of a brandy snifter, and refer to it as "the brandy snifter bottle." Embossed in the glass on the recessed bottom is, "Revillon Paris France." The fragrance was launched in 1938. Stopper has a ground neck with no plastic sleeve, which dates this bottle to before 1963. Cord still attached at neck. No hang tag. Not often seen in this mini size.

The fragrance, Quelque Fleurs (Some Flowers), was trademarked by Houbigant in 1912. This mini clear glass multi-faceted bottle with a gold plastic ribbed cap is probably from the 1960s. It has a gold foil label on the bottom.
Size: 2 3/8" high.

Iconic violin-shaped perfume bottle for Dana's, Tabu fragrance. The choice of a violin-shaped bottle for their highly successful cologne was not surprising. It was inspired by the long-running 1930s-40s advertisement for Tabu cologne featuring the painting, "The Kreutzer Sonata (1901)" by René-Xavier Prinet, showing a violinist, overcome with passion, breaking off his performance to embrace his female accompanist. The advertisement's tagline was "Tabu, the forbidden fragrance"!

Tiny irregular-shaped, clear glass bottle. Frosted white plastic irregular stopper. This classic mini bottle was once filled with the Caron fragrance, Infini (Infinite, in English). "Caron" embossed on bottom of bottle. I searched the internet for an example of an unopened Infini bottle for the correct placement of the stopper...there is a right and a wrong way to place the stopper in the bottle.

Classic 1994 mini perfume bottle. Dolce & Gabbana is an Italian luxury fashion house founded in 1985 in Legnano (a Province of Milan) by Italian designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. The two met in Milan in 1980 where they designed for the same fashion house. In 1982, they established a designer consulting studio of their own that became "Dolce & Gabbana. This is their men's fragrance, Dolce & Gabbana (Pour Homme) EDT, in a clear glass simple bottle with a dark blue cap. Filled with their clear signature fragrance, and comes in a dark blue flocked box. Made in Italy.

VINTAGE, COTY, EMERAUD, MINI PERFUME BOTTLE, c.1930s
Coty, Inc. is a beauty brand founded by Francois Coty in 1904. Born Joseph Marie Francois Spoturno, he was a native of Corsica. He moved to Paris and adopted the more French-sounding name of Francois Coty. Coty introduced the fragrance, Emeraud, to the market in 1921. This clear glass, beveled flask bottle with green bakelite cap is shown in various 1937 and 1939 Christmas ads for Coty products dating it to over 80 years old! Two labels on the front. The larger label has," Emeraude de Coty" in gold lettering over a gold foil orange and green deco design. The smaller label at the base has "Coty, New York, Cont. 0.20 ozs." in green letters. Bottom of the bottle is embossed "Coty". This very old classic Coty mini is a little jewel to add to your collection.

Vintage Apple Blossom perfume from the Regia Perfume Company, Fifth Avenue, New York. Clear glass bottle molded with rays expanding from the center. Black bakelite screw-on cap. Very old obscure company. Paper label on the front with Regia and fragrance names. The bottle came with a half ounce of fragrance, of which only a small remnant remains.

Wonderful 1937 mini perfume bottle by Duchess of Paris. The bottle is empty now, but once held 1/8 fl. oz. of "Infatuation" fragrance. It is shaped like an Oriental urn on a molded base with 5 tiny molded feet. The more commonly found Duchess of Paris, Infatuation bottle is the white, milk glass bottle with a black bakelite cap. This hard-to-find version in clear glass with a lilac, red, and blue speckled bakelite cap is a very unique, figural, 83-year-old mini for your special mini colleciton!

Jeanne Paquin was a leading French fashion designer, known for her modern and innovative designs. She was the first major female couturier and one of the pioneers of the modern fashion business. The couture house, Paquin of Paris, France, introduced perfumes beginning in 1939, and eventually merged with Worth in 1954. This listing is for a wonderful black glass bottle for Paquin's perfume, Habit Rouge, introduced in 1939. The gold foil shield-shaped label on the front bears the frangrance name. The star of this fragrance creation is the gold metal stopper with a motif resembling pleated fabric topped with a red cabochon stone.

Delightful mini pendant perfume bottle from Helena Rubinstein for her "Heaven Sent" fragrance. This little figural star-shaped bottle has man-in-the-moon facial features with eyes, nose, mouth and adorable puffy cheeks. The bottle is made of frosted glass and has a silver cap with a cello label with the Helena Rubinstein name and contents, .05 oz. It is full of perfume. Unfortunately, the back of the bottle has a hairline crack (see additional photos). It is totally tight as there is no leakage from the full bottle. It displays beautifully. Sold "as is" and priced accordingly. This is a chance to add this sweet little mini star to your collection at an affordable price.

Parfums Caron is a French perfume house founded by Ernest Daltroff in 1904. Narcisse Noir was the first famous and successful perfume from Parfums Caron. The fragrance was launched in 1911, however, this classic, half ounce size clear glass, squatty round bottle is probably from the 1960s. The black glass stopper is molded as a stylized narcissus flower.

VINTAGE, PARK & TILFORD, FAOEN NO 12, MINI PERFUME BOTTLE, c.1931
Park & Tilford was a New York company with a clever slogan: "Park & Tilford offers exquisite perfumes that make you a queen for every occasion, without costing a king's ransom." (No truth in advertising back then!) The fragrance, Faoen 12 was trademarked in 1931. As a new collector, the first time I saw a Park & Tilford perfume bottle for sale, I was immediately transported back to the musty, dusty, wood-floor, hometown "Five and Dime" store of my early childhood in Medford, Massachusetts. It is there in the 1940s that I first saw P&T perfume bottles for sale. This humble little mini perfume bottle holds great nostalgia for me, and perhaps, for you, too! The clear glass hexagonal-shaped bottle has a large black bakelite cap that completes the hexagonal shape of the bottle. Black and white front label with 1930s graphics covers the front of the bottle.

White Shoulders was launched by the design house of Evyan sometime in the 1940s, 1943-45. The company was named for Evelyn Diane Westall, the wife of the company's owner, Dr Walter Langer. Evyan advertised that all their products were made in America, and they wanted to show that American perfumers could compete in the industry with Europe, especially, France. Also these were the war years, World War II, and Americans wanted to show their patriotism by supporting American industries. This seventy-something year old nostalgic treasure is made of clear glass with a peach plastic ball cap. Front paper label with a "cameo" of a lady's bust and fragrance name.

This tiny Elsa Schiaparelli mini perfume bottle once held the fragrance, "Le Six." The fragrance was launched in 1937, but this bottle probably dates from the 1950s or 60s and is hard to find in this micro-mini size. The clear glass bottle has a ribbed, gold plastic cap and a round front label with gold lettering that reads, "Le Six de Schiaparelli - Paris."

This delicate mini perfume bottle was made by Worth for the fragrance "Je Reviens." The bottle is empty. Although this fragrance was introduced to the market in 1931, I believe the bottle dates to a much later time - possibly the late 1940s or early 1950s. It is round but flask-shaped. The cap is gilded plastic. The gold foil label is printed in red "Je Reviens Worth Paris France." The tiny little oval bottom is molded in raised letters -- French Bottle.
Size: 1 5/16" high x 1 1/8" wide (at widest point). Bottom: 7/16" wide x 3/16" deep.

The label is printed in white lettering (difficult to capture in the photos due to reflection). The cap is gold-colored metal with a clear plastic, threaded, lining. The tiny oval bottom is molded in raised letters "D'Albret, HP."
Size: 1 5/8" high x 11/16" wide (at shoulder). Bottom: 1/2" wide x 3/8" deep.

Joubert, a New York company, used this bottle for their fragrance, Blue Waltz. Although the fragrance was introduced to the market in 1927, this bottle probably dates from the 1940s. About 25% of the original fragrance remains. This perfume is old and should not be worn. The rectangular bottle has a blue bakelite cap with a glass dauber attached. The label has the fragrance name printed in dark blue lettering and indicates that, originally, the bottle contained 1/4 oz. of "Perfume." There are no markings on the bottom.
