OUR POLICIES

PRICING. Our prices are fair and firm. We work on a modest profit margin and are very competitive with other internet venues -- including auction houses. We do not accept offers, give quantity discounts or have lay-away plans.

PAYMENTS PENDING. Payment is expected within 7 business days of our reply to your inquiry. If payment is not received in a timely manner, one reminder notice will be sent requesting payment. Items remaining unpaid, 5 days after a reminder notice, will be automatically be available to any interested buyers. No item will be marked "SOLD" until payment is received.

PROCESSING. Banking and shipping are done once a week at 12Noon on Wednesday, Central Time. If payment is received after that time, the order will be shipped the following Wednesday.

MULTIPLE PURCHASES. We will combine multiple purchases to save on shipping costs.

RETURNS. If we have overlooked a condition problem, incorrectly identified or misrepresented an item, please contact us and let us know where the problem exists. We SCENTSerely want you to be happy with your purchase.

NO RETURNS ON FOREIGN SALES. Please ask questions before you make a purchase. The U.S. Postal Service will not ship bottles that contain perfume to any foreign country. It is considered a hazardous substance.

WE SPECIALIZE IN SELLING VINTAGE, COLLECTOR, PERFUME BOTTLES - not hard-to-find fragrances. We do not guarantee that the perfume in any container -- opened or unopened -- can be worn.

Do not open a bottle that has never been opened or use a solid perfume that was previously unused. It will diminish the value of the container and, more importantly, it will not be accepted for return.

HOW TO BUY

In your email, please include the following information:

Type the name SCENTSerely in the subject line of your email.
Give the item number and category name (for example: P1234 - Commercials).
U.S. Buyers: Indicate your method of payment (see below) -- and -- give your complete address -- including Zip Code.
Foreign Buyers: PayPal only. Indicate your country.

We will respond with an email confirming whether the item you want is still available and the amount you would owe if you purchase the item.

U.S. BUYERS -- PAYMENT, SHIPPING & INSURANCE
Payment is expected within 7 days of our reply to your inquiry. Pay with a personal check or PayPal. Buyer pays for actual shipping costs and PayPal fees (if paying with PayPal). We do not charge a handling fee or a packing materials fee.

We ship by U.S. Postal Service Ground Advantage which includes $100. of insurance coverage. Orders over $100. should be insured. Insurance is purchased separately for the full cost of the item(s). We strongly recommend insurance. The buyer pays for insurance and is responsible for filing insurance claims. If insurance is declined, the buyer will have no claim for a refund from the U.S. Postal Service for lost or damaged merchandise. We are not responsible for uninsured packages. We are not responsible for loss or damage in shipping.

FOREIGN BUYERS -- PAYMENT, SHIPPING & INSURANCE
No returns on foreign sales.

NOTE: If you want insurance, your package can be shipped by Priority Mail International. Priority includes insurance up to $200. in value and does have a tracking number. Insurance over $200. has to be purchased separately -- for the full cost of the item(s). PLEASE -- DO NOT ASK US TO FALSIFY CUSTOMS FORMS regarding the contents of the package or the value of the item. Buyer is responsible for payment of customs, import fees or taxes charged by the destination country or city.

MAGAZINE ADVERTISING - NO RETURNS
You are buying a page from a vintage magazine -- not the product(s) shown in the ad!
All magazine advertising is original and is sold "as found."
You will receive the entire page regardless of the size of the ad.
Ads that are less than a full page will not be cut off the page and sold at a reduced price.
Ads are photographed so that the entire page is displayed.
The pages are either cut out, or lifted out of the magazines.
Pages are not trimmed to minimize edge flaws. If previous trimming is suspected, it will be stated in the description.

NOTE -- REGARDING NEW YORKER MAGAZINE ADS -- Very often the paper will have varying stages of all-over foxing (discoloration due to age) with darker discoloration on the edges. A vertical center crease is not uncommon. Years ago subscribers' copies were folded and inserted into a brown paper sleeve for mailing. Depending on where the ad appeared in the magazine, the crease may or may not be noticeable.
